Spreadsheets include activation technology that helps prevent unauthorized
copying of the spreadsheet.
Activation is an interactive representation
of the license agreement between INFOMAC and its valued customers.
Activation protects the intellectual property and innovation at the heart of
the software industry.
INFOMAC is committed to eliminating
unauthorized use of its spreadsheets in a manner designed to have a minimal
impact on licensed users
What happens during activation?
When a customer installs an INFOMAC
spreadsheet that requires activation, he or she can use the spreadsheet for
up to 30 days from the date of delivery (the date of delivery is deemed to
be five days from the date of dispatch) before activation is required.
Just call INFOMAC on 0845 226 0696 to
activate the spreadsheet. There are times when INFOMAC will have to
call you back at a mutually convenient time to activate your spreadsheet.
We will ask you to carry out a few actions on
the spreadsheet which will allow us to check that it is not an illegal copy.
Activation does not collect, transmit, or use
any personally identifiable information or hinder licensed users' ability to
use the spreadsheet the way they always have under the INFOMAC spreadsheet
license agreement.
Providing it is not an illegal copy, we will
then give you a activation number for you to enter into the spreadsheet to
ensure it continues working for you.
Re-activation is then required on a annual
basis.
